This exciting journey starts with a bus/jeep ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi through zigzag highways. Walking through off the beaten trail via the alpine forest, dramatic landscapes, developing villages and fresh environment, it gives an amazing feeling that your soul will be happy. Langtang village (3,430m) and Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) are two famous touristic villages well located at the foot of the Langtang range. You may make an attempt to hiking to Tserko-Ri (4,984m) for a 360-degree view of snowy peaks. By its landscapes and people’s lives, Langtang is more like Tibet. If you haven’t been to Tibet before, this is an opportunity to feel a Tibetan flavor.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m)
Welcome! Our airport representative receives you at Kathmandu airport (TIA). After a brief greeting and introduction, s/he will drive you to the hotel in a pre-arranged private vehicle. If you are already in the town, we will meet you at your hotel. At the evening, we will organize a welcome dinner in a typical Nepali Restaurant.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour
Kathmandu valley is very rich in its cultural, historic and artistic values. Today, one of our professional city guides will take you to some of famous UNESCO heritage sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath, and Boudhnath stupa. The guide will describe the history, believes and significances behind each monument. Explore Nepalese cultural and artistic excellence.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubenshi (1,550m): 7 hours’ drive
After morning breakfast, we’ll begin a jeep drive to Syabrubenshi. The snaky highway passes through foothills, small towns, villages, forests, and riversides. From some point, we’ll get to see window view of Langtang range. Overnight Syabrubenshi.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m): 6 hours trek
In this first day of the trek, we’ll begin with an easy hike through the gradual uphill trail. Walking through dense forest, bank of Langtang river, waterfalls and suspension bridges is so refreshing. This area is the natural habitat of endangered Red Panda, which sometimes can be seen in the bamboo forest. We’ll stop at Bambo (1,970m) village for lunch and arrive in Lama hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m): 5-6 hours trek
Today’s journey is another magnificent piece of nature’s masterpiece. The trip begins with steep uphill through forest and as we hike-up the timberline gets thinner and finally disappears just before we reach to Goda Tabela (Horse Stable) for lunch. Ahead you may spot a lot of Mani walls, water mills, chortens, and prayer wheels. Langtang village is a big settlement located right at the foot of glorious mountain range.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m): 3 hours trek
The magnificent mountains and insane landscapes are all you will see today. We’ll make it short, slow and easy because some traveler might feel difficulties at this high altitude. For all Langtang region traveler, Kyanjin Gompa is one of the most famous villages. It is the gateway to some easy and short mountain climbing. With a hot cup of tea, enjoy the panoramic view of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Yala Peak (5,520m) and many other.

Day 07: Hike to Tserko-Ri (4,984m) and trek back to Langtang village: 5-6 hours trek
For those interested, this is a chance to attempt a mountain climbing. Tserko Ri (4,984m) is a short peak located beautifully in the middle of endless Himalayan vistas. We’ll start early in the morning because it is easier to walk in the snow before it starts melting with sunlight. Form the top, the sea of mountains you’d see is definitely a dream come true. We’ll realize the value of every single breath. Cherish the moment, come back to Kyanjin Gompa for lunch and trek down to Langtang village for overnight stay.

Day 08: Trek back to Syabrubensi: 5-6 hours trek
Today, we’ll return back to Syabrubensi and summarize our trekking trip. Mostly through downhill trail, it will refresh your memory of how drastically Nepal’s landscapes and lives would change as the altitude changes. Enjoy the fine easy walk and stay overnight in Syabrubensi hotel.

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu
After morning breakfast start driving back to Kathmandu. You already have the experience of how it would go. Celebrate the ride once again. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we’ll drop you to the hotel and let you have your own time. Overnight in Kathmandu.
